DIY | Natural Dry Shampoo!

Alright guys, I have an exciting DIY for y’all.
NATURAL DRY SHAMPOO! What? yea. You can make dry shampoo at home without those spray cans and for MUCH MUCH CHEAPER! #winning

I have no clue what got me on this natural train for my hair but I am loving it and my hair has never been so healthy (and it was already pretty healthy… or so I thought).

As most of you know, I have been no-poo for almost 11 weeks now!
When you’re doing this no-poo method you shouldn’t be washing your hair for more than once every 4-6 days (don’t freak out! it really isn’t that bad). Within that time period, depending on what I do, or what I cook my hair can get really greasy. Before this natural dry shampoo, I was just stickin’ it out, walking around with my greasy hair and would explain to everyone that I am no-poo and it will get better! eek.

Ever since I discovered this recipe, my no-poo experience has been unreal!

I have two recipes for you: One for dark hair, and one for light/blonde hair. They are both pretty much the same just one different ingredient.

DRY SHAMPOO FOR DARK HAIR:
– 2 Tablespoons of COCOA POWDER (and/or Cinnamon powder)
– 2 Tablespoons of ARROWROOT POWDER/FLOUR (you can substitute it with non-GMO CORNSTARCH)
– OLD & CLEAN MAKE-UP BRUSH
– ESSENTIAL OILS (Optional)

DRY SHAMPOO FOR LIGHT HAIR:
– (OPTIONAL) 1-1.5 Tablespoons of COCONUT POWDER/ or GROUND OATMEAL POWDER
– 2 Tablespoons of ARROWROOT POWDER/FLOUR (you can substitute it with non-GMO CORNSTARCH)
– OLD & CLEAN MAKE-UP BRUSH
– ESSENTIAL OILS (Optional)

DIRECTIONS:
– Mix the powders together until it is well incorporated
– You can now add in 5 drops of essential oils (keep in mind of the powders you are using and their smell. Does cocoa powder or coconut milk powder go well with ________)
– Mix and then apply with your make-up brush
