REVIEW | NUCIYA: Apoterra Skincare, Blissoma & Kaia Juicy Bamboo

Two months ago, Nuciya was kind enough to send me a few products that they carry for me to try and review (if you remember the haul video) and today I will be sharing with you my thoughts on these products.  Let's get right into it!

**CARU SKINCARE has rebranded themselves to APOTERRA SKINCARE**

APOTERRA SKINCARE (CARU) - NEROLI + IMMORTELLE FACIAL TONER

Ingredients:Neroli (Citrus aurantium) Hydrosol*, Immortelle (Helichrysum italicum) Hydrosol*, Everlasting (Helichrysum italicum) Hydrosol*, Hydrosol Blend**organic

I loved this toner! It is perfect for those with normal to oily/combination skin, but it is gentle enough for those with sensitive skin. After I cleanse my face, I like to follow up with a spritz of this toner. The scent is a mixture of honey and incense (sweet + spice), which is just absolutely gorgeous. Another method I liked to use was to put this toner into the fridge for hot, humid, summer days and whenever I needed to wake my skin up, this toner was perfect for that.

Because Caru Skincare has rebranded to Apoterra Skincare, this toner is actually on sale right now on Nuciya's Website here. However, if they happen to be sold out by the time you read this, here is the Apoterra Skincare equivalent to this toner.

APOTERRA SKINCARE (CARU) - ACTIVATED CHARCOAL + DEAD SEA SALT SOAP

Ingredients:Olea Europaea (olive) oil*, Cocos nuciferas (coconut) oil*, Reverse osmosis water, Elaeis guineensis (sustainable palm) oil*, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) butter*, Azadirachta indica (neem) oil*, Activated charcoal, Dead sea salt, Tea Tree es…

*organic

This soap is geared towards those who have oily/acne prone skin and has a scent that is musky with notes of charcoal and undertones of lemon (my boyfriend and I both loved the smell).  I have oily/combination skin and still found this soap to be super cleansing and following up with a moisturizer is highly recommended. Because this soap is so cleansing, I actually preferred to use this soap mainly as a body soap. The grains of dead sea salt that are embedded throughout the soap make it a nice, light exfoliant for the skin. Once a week, I would also use the soap as a facial cleanser. My boyfriend actually used this soap so much that between the both of us, we nearly finished the bar in under a month and a half.

One of my favourite things about this Caru soap is that the packing is biodegradable, handmade with 100% PCW paper label embedded with seeds. You can plant your labels and watch it grow in your garden!

*Before you use this soap, I would recommend purchasing some sort of soap holder for your shower. Because the soap is black, it will leave black soap residue wherever you leave it (which is fine, it does wash off).*

Here is the Apoterra equivalent to this Caru soap (the label unfortunately is not biodegradable on their new re-branded soap):

Ingredients:Cannabis sativa (hemp) Oil*, Vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) Seed Oil*, Citrullus lanatus (watermelon) Seed Oil, Rubus fruticosus (blackberry) Seed Oil, Calophyllum tacamahaca (tamanu) Oil*, Plukenetia volubilis (sacha inchi) Seed Oil*…

This oil is geared towards those with oily, acne prone, problematic skin. I fortunately do not battle these issues and therefore, felt that I cannot fully review this product. If you have this serum, or have tried it before, please share your experiences in the comment section below for others to read. The reviews that I have read on this product have all been positive and a lot of people say it is very effective.

For my experience, I found this oil to be very moisturizing to the skin. The scent however is just a tad off-putting at first. To me, the scent is very similar to green juice; the celery, spinach, cucumber etc. My boyfriend actually really enjoyed the smell of this oil, he felt that it smelled very healthy and nutritious. After he said that, it just made me realize it's great that the oil smells like that because it just shows that their product isn't jammed with chemical fragrances to mask the natural scent of the oils.

KAIA - JUICY BAMBOO NATURAL FACIAL CLEANSING OIL CLOTHS

These wipes are great for many reasons:

1) They smell amazing. Imagine the fresh scent of lemons mixed with the sweetness of honey.
2) They are non-toxic, biodegradable, cruelty-free and natural
3) Even though they do not market themselves to take off makeup, they are capable of some removing makeup.
4) These wipes are great for travelling, if you're on the go, and for post-workouts.
