REVIEW | 100% Pure Cosmetics
Today I just want to do a quick review of some of 100% Pure cosmetics. They were kind enough to send me some products to try out to review for you guys.
If you haven't heard of 100% Pure cosmetics before, they are an organic cosmetic line free of all harmful toxins. Their products are 100% natural, 100% cruelty-free, and 100% free of artificial colours, artificial fragrances, synthetic chemical preservatives and all other toxins. How amazing is that? To top it off, their cosmetics get their colour and pigment from fruit dyes!
Let's begin!
Fruit Pigmented Strawberry Blush
My best description of this blush is that it's a dusty pink. I find that the pigment of this blush wasn't as dark as I had anticipated. It takes a couple of applications for it to show up, but once it's been layered it's a beautiful colour. The blush does not have the greatest lasting power. I do find that it fades as the day goes on but it does not bother me to re-apply.
Ingredients:
Fruit Pigments of Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry), Punica Granatum (Pomegrante), Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry), Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry), Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry), and Prunus Serotina (Cherry), Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima Oil (Avocado Butter), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Linum Usitatissimum (Flax) Seed Oil, Lycium Chinense (Goji Berry) Fruit Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C ), Mica (natural shimmery mineral)
Fruit Pigmented Pretty Naked Palette
This is a great neutral eyeshadow palette! It comes with a luminescent powder, a blush and three eyeshadows. The luminescent powder (Pink Champagne) is a great highlighter powder, it adds a natural sheen to your cheeks. The blush powder (Pretty Naked) in this palette was by far my favourite. I loved the blush in this palette a lot more than the Strawberry; it's matte, the pigmentation was much better and did not need as much layering to show up on my skin tone. My least favourite in this palette would have to be the Flaxseed eyeshadow. Looking at the the colour in the palette it seems as if it would be a nudey-beige. However, when it is swatched, Flaxseed looks more like a pink eyeshadow. You can definitely use it for more pink eyeshadow looks or as a highlighter but because the swatch did not match what it looks like in the palette, I was not a huge fan since I was hoping it would be beige so I could use it as a blending colour for the next two eyeshadows. Toffee and Chestnut are absolutely gorgeous colours. Toffee is a shimmery, dark taupe while Chestnut is a shimmery copper colour. You can wear these two colours together or wear them alone as a one shadow look giving your eyes a natural look.

Mangosteen Whipped Body Butter
WOW. This was my FAVOURITE out of the whole haul. This is the natural version of The Body Shop's body butters but BETTER because these don't contain toxic chemicals. This whipped body butter is very hydrating and immediately moisturizes your skin without being greasy. The smell of this is just amazing as well. Before I received this whipped body butter, I was just using pure, cold-pressed coconut oil. I still use this method when I get out of the shower however, with coconut oil, you have to sit and wait for it to absorb into your skin before putting your clothes on to avoid getting the oils on it. On days where I am in a rush to head out the door, I grab this whipped body butter and it does the job instantly. I can't get enough of this product and will definitely be repurchasing!

Dark Chocolate Long Last Liquid Eye Liner
What I have been using as my liquid eyeliner for the past 5 years was L'Oreal's Lineur Intense in Dark Brown. Since receiving this eyeliner, I have replaced my L'Oreal Lineur Intense for the nights where I go out or if I am going to be wearing makeup all day and need it to last. This liquid eyeliner by 100% Pure dries so quickly once applied and does not budge! I have to be honest, I didn't think this liquid eye liner was going to perform as well as it did. In the video below, I did a side by side comparison of the two showing you how well 100% Pure's eye liner stays on even when I rub it with water. The only downside to this eyeliner is the brush applicator. I am not a huge fan of using a brush tip applicator for my eyeliner since I have become so accustomed to my felt tip applicator on my L'Oreal Lineur Intense, but I am sure with practice I will get more used to it.
